Firefox is a popular web browser and one of the most popular browsers in use on the internet. It has a lot of features and it can be used for a lot of different purposes. One of the things that Firefox does well is its cache clearing feature. This feature helps to clear out any cached files so that your computer can start fresh again. There are a few ways to add this feature to Firefox. The first way is to open up Firefox and click on the three lines in the top left corner of the window. This will take you to a menu where you can select “Options”. In this menu, you will find “Cache Management”. In this section, you will find a list of options called “Cache Clearing Button”. The first option on this list is called “Clear Cache”. This option will help to clear out any cached files so that your computer can start fresh again. The second option on this list is called “Clear All Cache Files”. This option will help to clear out all the cached files on your computer. The last option on this list is called “Delete Cache Files”. This option will help to delete any cached files from your computer. If you want to add this feature to Firefox, then you should choose one of these options and then click on the OK button. Once you have chosen an option, then you should click on the OK button again. Once you have clicked on the OK button, then Firefox will start working with the new setting and it will be ready for use.

Before
For our example we loaded three webpages in order to add content to our browser’s cache.
Using the “CacheViewer” we were able to easily see the contents of our browser’s cache after the webpages finished loading. What if you need to clear your cache immediately without restarting your browser (if the options are set to empty the cache on browser exit)?
Note: CacheViewer is available via a separate extension and can be found here.
Empty Cache Button in Action
Once you install the extension all that you need to do is right click on any of your browser’s toolbars and select “Customise”. Drag the “Toolbar Button” to an appropriate location in your browser’s UI and you are ready to go.
To clear your browser’s cache simply click the button…that is all there is to it.
When the cache is empty you will see this small message window appear in the lower right corner of your “Desktop”.
Opening up the “CacheViewer” again shows that everything has been cleared out. Terrific!
