Microsoft has released a new update to the Excel Quick Launch Toolbar that includes a Windows Calculator. The new toolbar can be found in the File tab of the Excel Options dialog box. The Windows Calculator can be accessed by clicking on the small arrow next to the Formula bar and then selecting the Windows Calculator from the list of available tools. The Windows Calculator can also be found on the Quick Launch toolbar by default, but it can be hidden if desired. The Windows Calculator is a handy tool for performing basic calculations, such as adding two numbers or multiplying two numbers together. It also includes functions for trigonometry and algebra, which makes it a valuable addition to the Quick Launch toolbar. ..

Click Customize Quick Access Toolbar and then choose “More Commands”.

On the left hand side choose “Commands Not in the Ribbon” from the drop down menu, and you’ll see Calculator in the list on the left pane. Just click the Add button to add it to the toolbar.

You now have the Calculator icon ready to use in the toolbar.

Some of the newer Microsoft keyboards also have a button that launches the calculator for even quicker access.
