Hello Vista users, I hope you’re all doing well. I’m writing to let you know that there’s a new feature in Explorer that I think you’ll find quite useful. It’s called bread crumbs. Bread crumbs are a type of data that is used to help remember where something happened in a document or an application. They can also be used to help you find specific information in a document or application. If you’re not familiar with bread crumbs, here’s how they work: When you mouse over a piece of text in Explorer, it will show a list of all the items that have been clicked on by your mouse since the last time your cursor was over that text. You can then click on any of those items and it will take you to the corresponding page or document that has those items listed as bread crumbs. Here’s an example: If I click on the link at the bottom of this page, it will take me to the main page for this website. But if I click on the link at the top of this page, it will instead take me to another page with some other content listed as bread crumbs. This is because Explorer keeps track of where your cursor was when it hit each item in order to give you an idea where things might lead next. So if I click on one of these links and then move my cursor over the text at the bottom of that link, Explorer will show me all the pages and documents that have been clicked on by my mouse since my last mouseover (or since my last save). If I then click on one of those pages and move my cursor over the text at the top of that link, Explorer will show me all the pages and documents that have been clicked on by my mouse since my last mouseover (or since my last save). So if you want to know where something happened in a document or application before clicking
For instance my buddy online want to take a look at templates in C:Program FilesHPPhotosmart EssentialTemplate … well here it is with bread crumbs.
Here it is after clicking the folder and copying it with “Ctrl+C”. Then to change that view back to breadcrumb you hit the “Tab” key.
Now, if you hit “Ctrl+C” while the Breadcrumb bar is highlighted and then “Ctrl+V” to paste… it will show C:Program FilesHPPhotosmart EssentialTemplate …
I would like to know how many others do not like the “Bread crumb” explorer view. Does anyone know of a third party app that will get rid of this?
Or if you do think this is an enhancement to Windows let us know that too! It’s a small gripe but one that annoys me nonetheless.
