If you’re like most people, you probably have a few folders in your computer’s hard drive where different colors and themes are applied. This is great for keeping your computer organized and looking good, but it can also be a bit of a pain to change the colors and themes on each folder individually. Folderico is a great solution to this problem! First, open Folderico and create a new folder. In the new folder, name the folder “myfolder.” Next, open the myfolder folder and create another folder inside it called “colors.” In the colors folder, you’ll want to create different color folders for each of your different applications. For example, if you use Firefox as your web browser, then you would create a “firefox” color folder and an “chrome” color folder. Similarly, if you use Photoshop as your graphics editor, then you would create a “psd” color folder and an “graphics” colorfolder. Once you’ve created these folders in Folderico, it’s time to apply some basic theme changes! To do this, simply click on one of the blue icons in the top left corner of Folderico and select “change theme.” You’ll then be able to choose between several different themes that are available for your myfolder and colors folders. The best part is that these themes can be changed again and again without having to delete or rename any files! So now that you know how to changeFolderico’s theme options using just one simple click (or by using one of its many templates), it’s easy enough to keep your computer looking great no matter what!
Folderico is a free utility from Shedko software and is quite easy to use. Launch the program and browse to the folder you want to change the color of. Here you can also put in a custom tooltip for the folder that will be displayed when hovering over it.
Next click on Select icon to bring up the multiple choices of colors and styles to choose from. After you choose the look of the folder click on Apply.
Now when you go to the location of the folder you will notice the change that was selected.
If you don’t find something you like with the default themes they also offer several other user made themes to download.
After you download the new theme folder just move the file with the “.icl” extension into the Samples folder where Folderico is installed.
Folderico also integrates in with the context menu so you can Right-click and quickly select a color or style.
The default language for Folderico is English but there are several more to choose from and even more you can download online.
If you are looking for a way to color code your folders or spice up the look and feel of the folders, Folderico is free and easy to use.
