Firefox users who want to change the Greasemonkey script editor can now do so by following these simple steps.

  1. Open Firefox and click on the menu button (three lines in a row at the top of the browser window).
  2. Select “Tools” from the menu that appears.
  3. Select “Options.”
  4. Under “Advanced,” click on “Scripting.”
  5. In the “Scripting” dialog box, select “Greasemonkey.”
  6. Click on the “Edit” button next to “Greasemonkey Script Editor.”
  7. In the “Greasemonkey Script Editor” dialog box, make your desired changes and then click on OK to save them. ..

Type about:config into the address bar, and then filter by the following:

If the key does not exist, right-click in the empty area and create a new string, giving it the following values:

Key Name: greasemonkey. editor Key Value: Full path to an editor that doesn’t suck as much as notepad.
