SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 is a very powerful and popular operating system. However, it can be difficult to find the right software for your needs. One way to overcome this problem is to use Suse’s built-in repositories. A Suse repository contains software that is not available from the main SUSE distribution. It can be used instead of the CD/DVDs that come with SUSE. This way, you can have a more complete and up-to-date installation of SUSE without having to worry about which software to install from scratch. To create a Suse repository, use the following command: suse-repository create -f /etc/suse/repositories/myrepo
To start off, you need to launch YaST. You can use the menu, or you can type in the following into an Alt+F2 prompt:
Click Software, and then Installation Source.
You should see a list of the software sources, with the cd/dvd line at the top.
To enable or disable one of the sources, just click the Source Settings drop-down button, and then click Enable or Disable.
You should disable the cdrom line, and enable the other two.
