If you use a third-party extension in Internet Explorer, you may want to disable it. This will help keep your browser clean and free of viruses and other malware. To disable a third-party extension in Internet Explorer, open the browser and click on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen. On the left side of the screen, you’ll find a list of tools that are installed by default. Choose one of these tools and click on the Disable button next to it. If you use a third-party extension that is not listed on the left side of the screen, you may need to search for it online or in your computer’s documentation to find out how to disable it.

Open up Internet Explorer and click on Tools then select Internet Options…

Under Internet Properties click on the Advanced tab and under Settings scroll down and uncheck Enable third-party browser extensions and click Ok.

Now restart IE and the extensions will be disabled.

You can then re-enable them when you know a site can be trusted and you want to be able to use its services. This will help avoid malware when you visit a site that wants to install an extension and you’re not sure about it.
