If you want to add effects to your pictures in Word 2007, there are a few different ways to go about it. One way is to use the Picture Tools contextual tab. This tab includes tools for adding text, graphics, and effects. Another way is to use the Picture Tools Formatting toolbar. This toolbar includes tools for adding text, graphics, and effects. You can also use the Format Picture dialog box to add effects to pictures that you have already inserted into your document. There are also a number of free online tools that you can use to add effects to your pictures. One example is GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). GIMP is available free of charge from www.gimp.org/. ..
For instance, if you want to add a border to your picture, just click the Picture Border drop-down button, where you can change the type of border you want, the colors, or the line thickness.
You can take this even a step further and add glowing effects or even 3D effects to your pictures by using the Picture Effects drop-down button.
What’s great about this feature is that as you move your mouse over each option, it will automatically show you a preview in the document.
As you can see I got a bit carried away with these options! My advice is to experiment and have fun!
