If you’re like most people, you use your computer to do everything from work to checking your email. But what if you want to browse the web from Outlook? There are a few ways to do this, and each has its own set of pros and cons. The easiest way is to open Outlook and click on the “Mail” tab. Under “Web Access,” select “Use Internet Explorer.” This will open up Internet Explorer and allow you to browse the web just as if you were using your regular browser. However, this method has two major drawbacks: First, it’s not very efficient because it requires opening two different windows. Second, it can be slow because Internet Explorer is a heavy browser. If you’re looking for a more efficient way to browse the web from Outlook, consider using a third-party tool such as WebEx or Zoom. These tools allow you to access the internet through a single window without having to open Internet Explorer. They also tend to be faster than using Internet Explorer because they don’t require as much processing power from your computer. However, they’re not as versatile as regular browsers and may not have all of the features that you’re used to. ..

Enable Outlook’s Web View

With Outlook open, click on View Toolbars and then check Web on the menu.

This will display the Web address bar which you can move to wherever you want in the toolbar area.

Now, just enter any Web address into the bar and the view pane will show the webpage within Outlook using the Internet Explorer engine.  If you’re just looking at the one page just click the Back button and it will return you to the Outlook view.  Or you can explore the entire site and / or surf the web.

View Your Email Messages in Internet Explorer

An opposite way to go is view a email message in Internet Explorer versus Outlook.  With the email message open in the Actions section on the Ribbon click on Other Actions and View in Browser.

A security warning message will pop up asking if you’re sure you want to continue.

Internet Explorer will open up displaying the email message.
