Firefox is a popular web browser and it can be used on a variety of devices. One of the ways to keep Firefox running smoothly is by downloading the latest version from Mozilla. However, sometimes it can be difficult to find the download file location for Firefox. To change this, you will need to open Mozilla’s preferences and then click on the Downloads tab. From here, you will need to find the file that you want to download and then select it from the list. Once you have downloaded the file, open Firefox and make sure that it is installed. If not, you can follow these steps to install Firefox:

  1. Open Mozilla’s Preferences and then click on the Downloads tab.
  2. Find the file that you want to download and then select it from the list.
  3. Once you have downloaded the file, open Firefox and make sure that it is installed.

Changing this option is extremely easy. Just open Tools \ Options, and you should see the Downloads section right on the very first screen.

Click the Browse button to select a new folder. You can also choose to have Firefox always ask you where to save the files, and you can turn off the “Downloads” window (which always annoys the crap out of me, so it’s an instant disable on every Firefox install)

This article is just one in a series covering how to use Firefox. I’m assuming it’s a no-brainer for most of the geeks out there, but I want to create a good central repository of Firefox tips, so simple articles like this are a must.
