If you’re like most people, you probably use PowerPoint to present your ideas and data. But did you know that you can also use tables to organize your information? In this article, we’ll show you how to insert tables into your presentation, and how to use them to make your data more accessible and organized. To insert a table into your presentation, first open the slide where you want the table to appear. Next, click the Tables button (it looks like a table with four lines across it) located in the Insert tab of the ribbon. PowerPoint will display a list of available table types. Select the Table option from this list and PowerPoint will display a dialog box where you can specify the size, shape, and alignment of your table. Once you’ve selected your table type and settings, click OK to close the dialog box. PowerPoint will then display your table onscreen. To add content to your table, simply drag and drop items from within PowerPoint onto the table’s rows or columns. You can also type text into these cells using either the keyboard or mouse. When you’re finished adding content, simply press Enter or Return to finish editing your table. Tables are an important part of any presentation, and they’re easy to use thanks to PowerPoint’s Table feature. PowerPoint is a great way to present data to groups, and if you create slideshows it’s important to know how to present information. Today we’ll briefly go over the use of tables in a presentation.

On The Ribbon Click the Insert tab and click Table.

You will get a menu which allows you to select how many rows and columns to include with the table.

Choose the design and theme by choosing the Design tab and select Themes.

Also in Design you can choose from a plethora of table designs.  Just hovering over the different designs will show what that design looks like in the document.

You can really mix and match designs, colors, and themes to create a quality presentation.
